#4552 was originally purchased for service for Transit in Victoria as #796. It was then transferred to North Vancouver Transit Centre in November 1979 as #4552. This photo was taken by Peter Cox on January 15, 1984 (Farewell to Brill Day) at the Oakridge Transit Centre. I am not sure what it was doing at the Oakridge Transit Centre at this point except for possibly a temporary assignment. I have information which says that it was transferred to the Port Coquitlam Transit Centre as #9552 sometime in 1984. |

Here is a shot of #5552 which was delivered new to Victoria in 1973 as #797, then transferred to North Vancouver Transit Centre in November 1979 as #4553. Then to Port Coquitlam Transit Centre as #9553 in 1984, then to Kensington Transit Centre as #5552. (The Kensington Transit Centre was later closed sometime around 1986 and replaced by the new Burnaby Transit Centre). If I have my records straight, #5552 would have become B5502 in the new Letter Prefix Numbering System in 1996. This photo was taken at the 22nd St. Station (Skytrain) as a route 101 Queensboro in October 1993 by Peter McLaughlin. |
